ICBC Counselling
What is ICBC Counselling?
ICBC counselling provides emotional and psychological support for individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, trauma symptoms, pain-related stress, or difficulty returning to daily routines, we’re here to help you navigate recovery with care and guidance.
Support We Offer
Whether you’re struggling with increased anxiety while driving or sitting in a motor vehicle, physical discomfort that affects your mood or thinking, or the emotional aftershocks of the accident, we provide compassionate, evidence-based care that supports both your psychological and physical recovery.
What to expect?
We help guide you through the ICBC process and confirm your coverage. Sessions begin with understanding your symptoms, concerns, and goals. This may include completing an initial intake assessment session and completing a progress report, as required by ICBC. Later, this will be followed by practical and supportive strategies to help you feel more grounded and in control as you heal. Some strategies include using cognitive behavioural therapy, or CBT, alongside forms of trauma therapy such as observed and experiential integration, or OEI.
Together, we can create a tailored recovery plan that focuses on managing stress, reducing trauma responses, and supporting your return to everyday activities. Regardless of the collaboratively tailored recovery plan, we go at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
