CVAP Counselling

What is CVAP Counselling?

CVAP counselling is counselling for those who have been affected by crime, either as a victim or as a witness. CVAP stands for the crime victim assistance program. Funding is available for eligible individuals through the CVAP program for counselling services.

Experiencing crime can be overwhelming and isolating. CVAP counselling provides compassionate support to help you process your experience, cope with emotional impacts, and rebuild confidence and resilience in your daily life. Sessions are designed to help you regain a sense of safety, control, and emotional well-being following a difficult experience

Support We Offer

We support individuals dealing with emotional distress, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, intrusive thoughts, and other trauma-related symptoms following a crime. Counselling helps you develop coping strategies, manage stress, and work toward emotional recovery.

What to expect?

CVAP counselling offers a safe and confidential space where you can share at your own pace. You are in control of what you disclose, and together we focus on supporting your emotional well-being, managing stress or trauma-related symptoms, and building resilience. Sessions are guided by your needs and comfort, helping you regain a sense of safety and confidence over time.
